TRIANGLE EVENTS: AROUND THE WORLD ART NIGHT, GLOW IN THE PARK RUN, CELEBRATE FIVE POINTS
Think globally, act locally – the next few days you’ll get the chance to not only celebrate one of the Triangle’s well-known local communities, but support a worldwide charity and paint faraway places! Check out these upcoming Triangle events full of art, fitness and glow paint (!), and community.
Around the World Art Night at Art Bar: Wednesdays, June 3rd – 24th
Do you want to take a trip around the world without leaving the room? If so, then you don’t want to miss Around the World Art Night at Art Bar in Raleigh! Every Wednesday from 7pm – 9pm, join instructor Carley Habor and complete a beautiful painting based on countries around the world.
The schedule includes:
- The Koi Fish Waters of China –June 3rd
- Painting in Paris – June 10th
- The Patterns of Africa – June 17th
- Hawaiian Hibiscus Luau – June 24th
All supplies are provided along with complimentary hors d’oeuvres and beverages. Every participant may expect to leave the event with a beautifully painted piece of art and wonderful memories!

Glow in the Park Run: Friday, June 5th
“The Best Way to Light Up the Night!”
Glow in the Park, held at WakeMed Soccer Park on Friday, June 5th, is the ultimate fun run experience! Enjoy the fun of glow-in-the-dark war paint, fluorescent colors, foam-spewing machines, and more! Upon arrival, each participant will receive a goody bag of glow-in-the-dark accessories with which to adorn themselves and then take part in the 5k run – battling seas of foam, a rain storm of UV glow water, and a dust cloud of neon powder.
The proceeds of this event will be donated to The American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
Individuals: $40 – $45 per person — register early for a discounted price!
Teams (4 or more): $35 – $40 per person — register early for a discounted price!

Celebrate Five Points: Saturday, June 6th
If you’re looking to enjoy great local attractions, restaurants, and businesses, you don’t want to miss Celebrate Five Points held on Saturday, June 6th from 10am – 2pm. This event offers a chance to explore the charming, historic area of Five Points while enjoying special deals from local businesses and restaurants. Some of the planned events include:
