Triangle Events: Comedy Ra-Ra, Southern Women’s Show, Carnival Fun Fair for Map
The rest of this week is all about fun Triangle events: comedy that gives back, celebrating women, and a carnival for a good cause. Starting on Thursday, there are plenty of opportunities to support organizations making a difference in people’s health as well as the 30th anniversary of the Southern Women’s South – a fabulous event full of pampering and celebration.
Comedy Ra-Ra: Thursday, April 23rd
Who doesn’t enjoy a good laugh? More importantly, who doesn’t want to support a worthy cause while having a great time? Held at Raleighwood Cinema Grill, Comedy Ra-Ra, a comedy benefit for The Chatham Social Health Council and the N.C. Softball League, features three hilarious comedians: Kevin Kinner, Eric Megert, and the legendary John Boni with a guest appearance by Drew Robertson. Come out and join the fun! Southern Women’s Show: April 24th-26th
Find your fabulous at the Southern Women’s Show held at the North Carolina State Fair Grounds! Celebrating its 30th Anniversary, the Southern Women’s Show is offering more exciting opportunities than ever. Included in the fun is one-of-a-kind shopping, fashion shows, cooking demonstrations, health screenings, workshops, makeovers, special guest appearances, fantastic give-aways, and special anniversary activities such as “30 prizes for the 30th Anniversary” and free admission for those who are 30 or turning 30 this year. The first 250 guests will receive a free “Happy Birthday” headband to join in the celebration! Carnival Fun Fair for MAP: Saturday, April 25th
The Meredith Autistic Program at Meredith College is celebrating its 20th Anniversary with a Carnival Fun Fair. Come join the fun from 10am-3pm on the Meredith College Front Lawn! This exciting celebration, open to the public, will feature giant inflatables, food trucks, games and activities, live music, and fun for the whole family. All proceeds of the Carnival Fun Fair (Free Admission; Wristbands for activities: $15 in advance, $20 at the door) will go to support the Meredith Autistic Program and to establish a scholarship fund.
