It’s nearly autumn and time to enjoy the many festivals and celebrations that accompany this time of year. Below are some great Triangle Events to check out this weekend!
Fall Harvest Celebration: Saturday, September 19th 11am-3pm
The Historic Yates Mill County Park will hold its 10th Annual Fall Harvest Celebration on Saturday, September 19th from 11am – 3pm. It’s a day of fun for the whole family and attendees can enjoy tours of historic Yates Mill building, live performances, food vendors, games for all ages, a scavenger hunt for the kids, make-and-take crafts, races, antique vehicles and tools, and more!
This event is free to attend so don’t miss it!
Oktoberfest: Saturday, September 19th – Noon-5pm
Another excellent event to get you in the “fall” mood is the Oktoberfest at Lafeyette Village. This German-inspired festival will be held on September 19th from noon to 5pm and will offer over 15 fall style beers and food to satisfy your cravings. Enjoy the live music as you browse through the local shops to take advantage of great deals as well as enter to win a $500 shopping spree. If you’re in for a laugh, you don’t want to miss the 3rd Annual Wiener Dog Races held at noon! Proceeds of the race go toward local animal advocate groups. Click here for more information.
16th Annual Caniac Carnival: Sunday, September 20th – 10am
Are you a Caniac? Then you don’t want to miss the 16th Annual Caniac Carnival held at PNC Arena on Sunday, September 20th at 10am. Carolina Hurricane fans will enjoy free admission and parking and can participate in exciting events such as interactive games and booths, food trucks, a kid’s zone, over 50 inflatables, a sports area, live band, appearances by Stormy the MyEyeDr. Storm Squad, an autograph session with the Canes players, and more!
