TRIANGLE EVENTS: GUYS AND DOLLS; CHATHAM STREET CHOWDOWN; POP-UP SUNDAY MARKET

Go back in time with a couple Triangle events this weekend – the play Guys and Dolls, based in 1930s NYC and a Vintage Pop Up Market featuring a variety of vendors. Or if you’d rather enjoy some of the more modern inventions like food trucks, check out the Chatham Street Chowdown, which features local musicians too.

Guys and Dolls

Guys and Dolls: Friday, July 24 & Saturday, July 25th: 7:30 p.m.

Based in 1930s New York City, Guy and Dolls is an award winning musical considered to be one of America’s greatest. Nathan Detroit bets high roller Sky Masterson that he can’t get a date with a stuffy Salvation Army dame and it lands him in a more trouble than he expected. This musical features the hottest young talent from 14 Triangle-area schools coming together to present “the show that defines Broadway dazzle” – The New York Times

Guys and Dolls will be presented by the Summer Youth Conservatory at Paul Green Theatre in Chapel Hill. Performances will be held on Friday, July 24th and Saturday, July 25th at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are only $15 per person ($10 for Students 18 & under). Come out to support the arts and our local young talent. Click here to learn more and purchase tickets.
