A week-long celebration of culinary excellence awaits! Designed to incorporate the premier Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and surrounding area restaurants, Triangle Restaurant Week is a great opportunity to try something new! During this week, several local eateries will offer three-course lunches and dinners for an exceptional price: $15 for a three-course lunch; $20, $25, or $30 for a three-course dinner. No reservations, tickets, or passes required!

BEER SUNDAY

If you’re a beer connoisseur, you don’t want to miss Beer Sunday, a kick-off for Triangle Restaurant Week. Tour Crank Arm Brewery in Downtown Raleigh on Sunday, June 7th at 2pm and 5pm and enjoy a 9oz beer. Proceeds will go to the Vs. Cancer foundation.

40 Under 40 Awards

40 Under 40 Awards: Thursday, June 11th

Presented by the Triangle Business Journal, the 40 Under 40 Awards are an annual celebration honoring the region’s up and coming business leaders and community supporters under the age of 40. After nearly 300 nominees were submitted, five judges carefully selected 40 winners to be presented with this prestigious honor.

The awards will be held on Thursday, June 11th from 11:30am – 1:30pm at the Prestonwood Country Club in Cary. You may also see the winners in a special issue of the Triangle Business Journal published on June 12th.

 175th Anniversary

North Carolina State Capitol’s 175th Anniversary Celebration: Saturday, June 13th

The North Carolina State Capitol is celebrating its 175th anniversary and you’re invited to join the festivities held on Saturday, June 13, from 11am – 8pm! The celebration will be in two parts: Daytime activities will be held from 11am – 4pm and are free to the public; evening activities will be held from 5pm – 8pm and are ticketed at $25 per person ($20 for society members; $10 for children).

Daytime activities include:

  • Cornerstone re-dedication ceremony (12pm)
  • Live music
  • Crafts
  • Exhibits
  • Lectures
  • Historic sites
  • Military re-enactors
  • Kids’ activities
  • Food vendors
  • Free birthday cake (while it lasts!)

Evening activities include:

  • BBQ dinner provided by Carolina Barbecue
  • Beverages provided by Mystery Brewing Company (1 free beer per person; more available for purchase)
  • A Bluegrass concert featuring The Ash Breeze Band and Bethesda Bluegrass Band
  • $10 donation to the non-profit State Capitol Foundation
