Raleigh Events this weekend – Aug 9 – 11!
ARTspo at the Raleigh Little Theatre
Held this coming Saturday, August 11th, from 3:00pm – 9:00pm, ARTspo’s mission is to inspire creative growth and the event features numerous activities geared particularly toward young minds. From arts and crafts stations to games to gallery exhibits and live performances, the event is a creative arts festival open to all ages. Half of the proceeds from the entry fee will go to the Durham Youth Alliance, a non-profit focused on inspiring and empowering youth and families by fostering hope through enrichment services. Sure to be an engaging and interactive event, ARTspo will be held in the beautiful Raleigh Rose Garden and Amphitheatre adjacent to Raleigh Little Theatre.
Every Saturday the parking lot at Rebus Works fills with fresh local produce, scrumptious baked goods, and handcrafted items for the weekly Saturday Market event. A Farmer’s Market hosted at Rebus Works, the Saturday Market is from 9:30am – 1:30pm and features a food truck and Donation Yoga at 10:00am as well. A great way to support the local creative community as well as local farmers!
Downtown Raleigh Food Truck Rodeo
Expanded from 50 trucks at the June event to over 70 food trucks, the Downtown Raleigh Food Truck Rodeo will encompass 10 city blocks on Fayetteville Street this Sunday, August 11th, from 4:00 – 9:00pm. The list of expected trucks and a site map can be found on the event’s Facebook page, in addition to a listing of the 10 breweries that will be there. The event is free and tables and chairs will be set up along the street. It is sure to be popular so be prepared for long lines while waiting for some of the Triangle’s best in mobile delicacies.
