Triangle Events: Beer and Banjos, Good Friday Choral Service, Easter Egg Hunt

Not all the fun happens on the weekends - two of the things this area is most well known for combine weekly on Tuesdays for Beer and Banjos: a night of lively bluegrass music at a local Irish pub. And this coming weekend many people in the area will be celebrating Easter - enjoy the holiday with an evening of choral music or an Easter egg hunt with fun for the whole family.

After a somewhat quiet past month due to the holidays and cold, this month’s First Friday is great chance to get out of the house and see some great new exhibits! First Friday happens on the first Friday of each month and is a free self-guided tour of downtown’s cultural hotspots. Local art galleries, studios, and museums stay open late and restaurants and retailers often have specials that night.

Bugfest

This Saturday, September 21, from 9am – 7pm, prepare to be creeped out. Each year the Museum of Natural Sciences in downtown Raleigh hosts Bugfest, a celebration of all things creepy and crawly. A family-friendly event that features over 100 exhibits, crafts, games, and activities, it draws over 35,000 visitors to learn more about the fascinating world of bugs.
