TRIANGLE EVENTS: 2015 NC STATE FAIR; ART IT UP!; MUSIC FROM THE MOVIES

Can you believe it’s mid-October already?! Neither can we but this is one of our favorite times of the year, particularly because of the NC State Fair! If you’ve never gone, it’s a favorite past-time for many North Carolinians for good reasons so be sure to check it out in the next 10 days. In addition check out these other Triangle events: Art It Up! will be celebrating the arts, culture, and recreation organizations in the vibrant Hillsborough St. District and the NC Symphony is playing musical hits from the movies at their upcoming performances.

2015 N.C. State Fair: Thursday, October 15th – Sunday, October 25th

Come one, come all! It’s time for the 2015 N.C. State Fair – “Nothing Could Be Finer”! We all have fond memories of the sights, sounds, smells, and tastes that we’ve experienced at the fair and it’s time to add to those memories yet again. Opening day is Thursday, October 15th and the festivities will run through Sunday, October 25th. With activities ranging from delicious food tastings to spectacular shows and thrilling rides, the opportunities are endless at the State Fair!

Art It Up!: Friday, October 16th – Sunday, October 18th

Art It Up!, a three day celebration of the arts, culture, and recreation organizations in the vibrant Hillsborough St. District, will be held from Friday, October 16th to Sunday, October 18th. Events include art exhibits, dance recitals, educational presentations, auctions, tours, NC Fresh Catch Seafood Boil, wine tastings, live music, community art projects, and much more.

NC Symphony’s “Music from the Movies”: Thursday, October 15th & Saturday, October 17th

The North Carolina Symphony is combining two of America’s favorites: music and movies! Come out and enjoy the awe inspiring sounds of the Symphony while listening for recognizable selections from hit movies such as:

 Raiders of the Lost Ark (Raider’s March)

 Star Wars (Princess Leia’s Theme)

 Adventures of Robin Hood
