TRIANGLE EVENTS: GREAT PUMPKIN CARVE; TRACK OR TREAT; TRICK OR EAT
There’s a chill in the air and you’re in the mood for a heart-pounding scare. Where can you find such a fright and things that go bump in the night? Look no further afield than these great Halloween Triangle events – Cary’s Great Pumpkin Carve, the Track or Treat Halloween Express, and the Trick-or-Eat Food Truck Rodeo.
Cary’s Great Pumpkin Carve: Saturday, October 24th – 2pm-7:45pm
Looking for a great fall activity for the kids? Come to Cary’s Great Pumpkin Carve on Saturday, October 24th in Downtown Cary. Purchase a pumpkin at the pumpkin patch (or bring your own!) and make your way to one of the carving stations. Use your carving expertise to create a one-of-a-kind pumpkin masterpiece. If you’re interested in a little assistance, don’t miss the 3D Pumpkin Carving Instructionals at 2:30pm & 4:30pm. Submit your creation to the judges and stick around for the pumpkin lighting at 5:30pm. Afterward, enjoy the family friendly Halloween TV Specials shown outdoors.

Track or Treat Halloween Express: Saturday, October 24th & October 31st– 4pm-7:45pm
All aboard! New Hope Valley Railroad offers, for the 20th year, a one-of-a-kind Halloween experience that’s fun for the whole family. The Halloween Express hits the tracks two Saturdays a year for several one-hour routes each day. Riders will experience live, interactive Halloween scenes as they chug along, all the while watching out for the headless brakemen, whisking witches, and the Ghost Train as it speeds past you on a second set of tracks. Don’t forget to say hello to Dr. CO2, the creator of Boo Bubbles, in the caboose.
Stay to enjoy all the exciting Halloween activities taking place at the haunted rail yard such as homemade ice cream in all sorts of autumn flavors, Manna Concessions food truck, and more! All young guests will receive a small gift.

Trick-or-Eat Food Truck Rodeo: Sunday, October 25th – Noon-5pm
On Sunday, October 25th from noon to 5pm, take a trip to historic Downtown Garner and join other “Foodies” at the Trick-or-Eat Food Truck Rodeo. 14 food trucks and 3 breweries from the surrounding areas are coming together for a howling good time! While local breweries quench your thirst, food trucks will be offering delicious fare ranging from Greek to African, cheesesteaks to dumplings, and everything in between. Some of the choices include:
