TRIANGLE EVENTS: PLANT-A-SEED, TOUR DE FAT: DURHAM, SUMMER SOLSTICE ICE CREAM PARTY
It is sweltering outside, but that doesn’t mean you should stay inside all the time! Here are three upcoming Triangle events that we’re looking forward to: pick up some fresh fruit and veggies at the Farmer’s Market and a baby plant from nüvonivo this Wednesday; celebrate bikes with beer and other bemusements at Tour de Fat on Saturday; and honor fathers and the summer solstice with an ice cream party at the beautiful J. C. Raulston Arboretum on Sunday.
Plant-A-Seed with nüvonivo: Wednesday, June 17th
Does a green thumb run in your family? Why not get your kids involved in the fun! Stop by the nüvonivo retail tent at the Raleigh Downtown Farmer’s Market on Wednesday, June 17th from 10am – 2pm for a free seed planting event. Each child, ages 3-7, will be given wildflower seeds which they will carefully plant in a biodegradable pot. They will learn how the seed grows and how to care for their new baby plant when they take it home.
