TRIANGLE EVENTS: SAFEchild FUNDRAISER, FAMILY SCIENCE OLYMPIAD, IMPOSSIBILITIES: MINDREADING AND MAYHEM
Some weekends it can be tough to find things to do as a family that are fun for both kids and adults. Not so this coming weekend – check out these great Triangle area events featuring food, music, science, magic, and even a little mayhem!
SAFEchild Fundraiser: Friday, August 14th – 7:00 p.m.
SAFEchild (Stop Abuse For Every child) is an organization dedicated to “eliminating child abuse in Wake County by helping adults and children create nurturing environments free from abuse and neglect.” They do this by offering educational and support services to families in need.
Join SAFEchild for a night of fun, food, and music at Real McCoy’s in Wake Forest on Friday, August 14th from 7pm-10pm. You will enjoy music by Lance & Eddie, raffle prizes, and drink specials along with delicious food. A portion of the proceeds will go to support SAFEchild’s efforts.

Family Science Olympiad: Saturday, August 15th, 1pm-4pm
Looking for a day of educational fun with the whole family? You don’t want to miss the Family Science Olympiad at Marbles Kids Museum. You and your children will experience activities that test your brain power and encourage friendly competition such as:

An Evening of Magic, Mindreading, and Mayhem: Friday-Saturday, August 14th – 16th
Get ready for an evening of impossibilities! Join magical comedian Chris Collins and master mentalist Erik Dobell as they entertain audiences with feats beyond comprehension. The pair have a combined 40+ years experience and have performed all over the world. It all starts at the Common Ground Theatre on Friday, August 14th at 7:30p.m. Shows continue for a Saturday evening performance (7:30 p.m.) and a Sunday matinee performance (2pm).
Attendees may choose from two packages: Regular admission ($15 advance; $20 at the door) and VIP admission ($55 – advance order only). The VIP experience includes a pre-show meet & greet, preferred seating, an autographed photo, and a VIP Magic Kit.
